| Welcome
Midwest Hope & Healing is a non-profit organization that provides comfort, support and hope to women receiving breast cancer treatment. The "hope and healing" concept was founded by a young woman in Seattle, Washington, Christine Smith, who underwent breast cancer treatment in August, 2000. This concept was brought to the Quad Cities in August 2003 by Colleen Borts and her partners Laura Danay and Linda Watson. Each of these woman has been touched in some way by breast cancer, either personally or through someone they love. |

The goal of Midwest Hope & Healing is to help women begin the healing process and to feel whole once again. We provide non-medical healing, assisting women on their journey and giving them hope for their future. The signature item of Midwest Hope & Healing is the "healing basket" that is filled with items of personal care and comfort. These baskets are available at no charge to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients. To learn more about Midwest Hope & Healing, to make a contribution, or to volunteer your time, please contact Colleen Borts at (309) 235-0405 or colleen.mwhh@mchsi.com., or Linda Watson at (309) 797-2052. |
